Native to Africa, this perennial develops many strap-like and flowing green leaves. Numerous erect flower stems rise from the leaf mass and they are topped by a large display of violet-blue funnel-shaped flowers.
Deciduous vine with red flower buds that gradually change to pink as they open to expose a yellow flower. The fragrant flowers are attractive to hummingbirds and bloom spring through summer. This plant can also be used as a ground cover when left un-staked. Height and spread depend largely upon pruning.
